PART 1. Line Drawing- 3D Objects- 15 minutes

Materials needed:
Paper (2 pieces if possible)
Pencil with eraser
3 Objects (larger ones work best for this part)
Optional- marker to outline

Find 3 objects (3D- please no single sheets of paper) that can be related or unrelated, complex or simple. Some suggestions are forks, spoons and knife or mug and glasses or plants, etc.

The best view of the objects is at eye view or at an angle in which you can define the that it has width, depth and height. Suggestion- take a reference photo at the angle you see it at. Add a white piece of paper underneath the objects if the background or foreground is distracting.

You will just be drawing the object using Line or Contour Drawing (Illustration). Contour drawing is an artistic technique used in the field of art in which artists sketches the style of a subject by drawing lines that results in a drawing that is essentially an outline. For this drawing you will be adding interior lines that help define the depth of the 3D object.

You will draw what you observe making sure to add details. Try to spend no more than five minutes on each object. If you have extra time- go back and add more details to your work.

If your object has text on it you must be accurate with the style of the text or font you include in your illustration.

Please add a label underneath the image.
