Ethics

In the beginning of class we read Chapter 20: Shop Safety and Chapter 21: Legal Restrictions on Copying. We took the Safety and Law Test- Part 1 and Part 2. Students also learned about the Constitution, the Bill of Rights and the 1st Amendment. The post is at http://skylinehsgraphicdesign1.blogspot.com/2014/09/constitution-day-2014.html along with the links to two videos and a worksheet.

Students also made Journal entries about the article What is Art Plagiarism?

Once you have done the questions one through ten on the Ethics in Design Worksheet you will need to decide what ethical issue you will design. The choices are Global Warning and Amnesty International. View the images from the links Amnesty International posters- in pictures

1.     Next, you will need to get your Journal and a pencil. Sketch out your ethical design and make sure to have your Ethical Design Checklist and Ethical Design Rubric to guide your design decisions. Look at the student sample on the blog and you may search the web for more inspiration.

Once you are done with your sketch you will turn your Journal in the crate with your class hour and the Ethics in Design Worksheet, Ethical Design Checklist and Ethical Design Rubric in the clear bin for your classes hour (30 minutes)
